Travel is so exciting!

As the title of this entery indicates - Travel is so exciting! This morning as an example of this topic, I sat in a Jiffy Lub.  Oh sure I just saw you yawn - but this suburb of Washington, DC is as cosmopolitan as you can get.  The fellow who waited on me looked hispanic to me so I broke out in my pigeon spanish - actually even pigeons can't understand me!  Well the fellow looked at me as said - "What?"  His father was an Irishman and his mother was from India.  While waiting for the oil change and a few other but experience modifications, there was a fell also waiting with me but he was wearing a hospital coat with an caduesus symbol. Obviously this guy was a doctor - WRONG! He was a geologist who teaches at George Washington University.  He came initially from Venezuela, Unfortunately his wife got ill and they didn't have any insurance at the time - so the hospital waived much of the costs-He inturn now serves as a volunteer once a week.  The young lady who checked me out and to who I paid $$$$$$ had a jacket on which had "Domingo" in the name space -  Nope wrong again! She was fair skinned Afro-american who has been given a new chance by the manager and the crew.  We are about to go and have lunch with Chip, my son in law who was fishing this past weekend with his Dad and brothers which gave Lynn and I a chance to visit and "babysit" some what?  Good time!  After lunch we are going to W.Va. and Harpers Ferry and then north-west towards Chicago.
