Tonight, Wednesday - May 12th - is my last night. Having not heard from the governor, I will sleep in my own bed for the last time for the next +/- three weeks. The Warden ( aka Lynn/wife ) didn't even ask me what I wanted for my last meal! We had vegetarian frittatas and a side of cooked radishes - Um - um good! But as my late heroin, who died of clogged arteries used to say, "Where is the beef?" The beef is, that there wasn't any - That's my beef! Oh well I'm not sure that these vegetarian meals will really lengthen my life or if, like jogging, it just makes it seem to be longer and longer and longer!
Tomorrow we are off - well as some of you have noticed - I've been a little off for a while, so what's new? Someone said that instead of measuring the miles that Lynn and I travel, I should measure the strength of our marriage - mile after mile. Heck, I figure we are good for a few miles at least after all I'm bringing my harmonica and I hope to get some serious practice in during the trip. If interpersonal problems do develop, I will not need an "Odometer", but maybe an "OH Damn-her" to evaluate the strength of the relationship - Hey I think I that have out smarter her, I have a role of dimes in the pocked of my shorts and she confused. She thinks that "I'm delighter to see her!" If I call any of you, please don't reject the call since I may only have been given one and that one is all I'm getting from the local sherriff. I don't know the law in the states that we plan to visit so have mercy on my incoming call and accept it! Well it time to go to bed and lay there fully awake through out the night, excited about tomorrow - which I am. God bless and I'll see you or you will hear from me sometime around the end of May.
